Candy Corn Treat Pouch....Free pattern

Materials Needed
I used worsted weight yarn in cream, orange and yellow. I think any brand would be suitable, I would just use the same brand for each colour to ensure consist thickness of the yarn.
Size 4 mm crochet hook
Stitch marker I use a scrap of contrasting yarn
Yarn needle (large eyed)

Notes
Finished pouch measures 3”x 5”
A portion of this pattern is crochet in continuous spirals where the rounds are not joined. It will be stated if rounds are to be joined. When working in continuous rounds, place stitch marker at the beginning of each round.

Crochet Terms and Abbreviations
Chain…ch Fpdc…front post double crochet
Single crochet…. sc Bpdc…back post double crochet
Double crochet….dc Fpsc…front post single crochet
Slip stitch….ss
To crochet 2 stitches together….pick up the front loops only of the next 2 stitches, pull loop of yarn through both stitches together and proceed with stitch as usual.

Pouch starting with yellow at the bottom
1. Ch 2, work 6sc in second ch from hook.
2. Work 2sc in each stitch =12sc.
3. Work (1sc, 2sc in next stitch) x6 =18sc.
4. Work (2sc, 2sc in next stitch) x6 =24sc.
5. Work (3sc, 2sc in next stitch) x6 =30sc.
6. Work (4sc, 2sc in next stitch) x6 =36sc.
7. Work (5sc, 2sc in next stitch) x6 =42sc.
8. Work 42sc around in back loops.
9-11. Work 42sc around.
12. Work (sc5, sc next 2 together) x6 =36sc.
13 &14. Work 36sc around.
15. Change to orange yarn and work 36sc around.
16-20. Work 36sc around.
21. Work (4sc, sc next 2 together) x6 =30sc.
22. Work (ch1, fpsc) repeat around.
23. To make the handle… Ch 30, work 29sc starting in second ch from hook. Bind off leaving a 5” tail of yarn. Thread needle on tail of yarn and sew the ends of the handle together, then sew to side of pouch.

Lid for Pouch use cream yarn
1. Ch 2, work 6sc in second ch from hook.
2. Work 2sc in each stitch =12sc.
3 &4. Work 12sc around.
5. Work (1sc, 2sc in next stitch) x6 =18sc.
6. Work (2sc, 2sc in next stitch) x6 =24sc.
7. Work 24sc around.
8. Work (3sc, 2sc in next stitch) x6 =30sc.
9-11. Work 30sc around.
12. Work (ch1, fpsc) repeat around. Bind off leaving a 5” tail of yarn. Use needle on tail of yarn to sew lid to pouch.
13. Fill with candy corn and give to someone special.
